CVI Collaborative Coordinator

Haleemah Henderson (she/her) is the CVIC Coordinator at Hyphen. Previously, she was a project manager at the Community-Based Public Safety Collective, which seeks to build neighborhood leadership to advance safety. With more than 25 years experience in the nonprofit sector, Henderson’s focus is on community violence interventions and community economic development to advance racial and economic justice. In addition, Henderson has also served as a lead organizer for banking rights campaigns in Los Angeles. As a fund developer, event planner, and capacity builder for nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles, Henderson has raised more than $30 million to support human services and capital development projects.

Henderson holds an adjunct faculty position with the Los Angeles Community College District, where she teaches in the Community Planning Program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC). She is a member of the Los Angeles African American Women's Public Policy Institute and a Petra Fellow.
