Special Projects Associate
Courtney Babak (she/her) joins Hyphen as a Special Projects Associate, bringing a diverse set of skills to support and streamline operations, processes, and system efficiencies.
A native Californian, Babak has traveled and lived all over the United States, working in roles ranging from a Victim's Advocate for the State of Vermont to a Grants Coordinator with the Washington, D.C.-based Open Society Policy Center, a non-partisan and non-profit 501(c)4 that engages in advocacy aimed at influencing public policy on domestic and international issues, including civil rights and liberties, criminal justice reform, immigration, public health policy, and the promotion of government accountability.
Babak holds a BS in International Development and Cultural Change from the University of the Pacific, and is currently pursuing a Masters Certification in Election Administration with the University of Minnesota. She currently lives in Omaha and is working on perfecting her Dari to speak to her in-laws about topics more complex than the weather!
